Hail Mary, full of grace.

 

Our Lady, Mother Mary , was conceived without original sin.

“I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.” .(Gen. 3:15)

  God   said   these words to Satan while cursing him for his temptation to Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.

Here ‘woman’ refers to Mother Mary. God said that she would crush Satan’s head, which means that she would always be free from sin.

It was a special gift of God to His Mother.

God is pure; so the woman who is to conceive Him also should be pure, free from even a small stain of sin.

God is pure by Himself; His Mother was pure by His special gift.

As she was pure by God’s grace, Angel Gabriel greeted her saying, “Hail, full of grace.”( Luke.1:28)

The words ‘full of grace’ explain her stainless purity.

When a cup ‘full with water’ there can be nothing else in it. There won’t be space for anything else in it.

When Our Lady is ‘full of grace’ anything other than grace can’t be in her.

Our Mother was free from even a stain of sin all her life right from her conception.

She was conceived without original sin.

I cannot understand why some people who call themselves Christians accept Christ, but reject His mother whom Christ Himself has accepted.
