Love is behind everything good"

Love is behind everything good.
****************-****************

"Good morning, Sir."

"Very good morning."

"Sir, I have a very small, but very serious doubt."

"Doubt about what?"

"Didn't you say in your last article,

'He did not will his choice,

but permiitted it

as He respected his freedom.'

referring to prodgical son's father?"

"Yes.

It has reference to our Heavenly Father.

He does not will many of our actions,

but permits them

as He has given us freedom of choice."

"Do you mean to say that God  permits sin?"

"Yes."

"But, how can an action be sin when it is done with the permission of God? "

"Hello, my dear man, you have misunderstood the word 'permit'.

It is not used in the sense of 'give permission'.

Let me give you an analogy.

Your father wants you to become a priest.

But you choose  to become a lawyer.

Your father knows that as a free citizen you have every right to choose whichsoever kind of life you like.

What will your father do?"

"He will tolerate with my choice though he doesn't  wish it because I am his son."

"Correct.

Your father wants you to become a priest.

You choose to become a lawyer.

Your father tolerates with your choice,

because he doesn't want to interfere into your freedom.

God 'permits'

means

God 'does not prevent,

He tolerates'."

"But,  Sir,  God is all powerful. He can easily prevent man from committing sin.

Why should He allow sin and then take the trouble of becoming man and sacrificing Himself on the cross to amend for the same? "

"My dear man,

it is like you asking your father,

'you can easily have prevented me from being born

by remaining unmarried,

which would have freed you from the trouble of suffering so hard to bring me up.' "

"Very true. I have already asked my father this million dollar question."

"Hope he has answered the question."

"Surely.  He answered me,

'I married because I loved your mother.

Then we wanted a son to love us and to be loved by us.

So we gave birth to you."

"What truth did you derive from your father's answer?"

"Love is behind everything."

"So you have already got the answer to your first question."

"I have already got the answer?

Explain."

"Love is behind whatever God does.

God is Love.

Love longs to love and to be loved.

God loves Himself from all eternity.

His love is perfect even without somebody else loving Him.

But,  He wants to share His love with  somebody.

In order to love and to be loved, He created the Angels and human beings.

His love is so great and unlimited that that He shared His image and attributes with them.

Angels are pure spirits.

Though man's body is a material thing, his soul is a spirit.

When God created man in his image,

He blessed him with freedom of choice, love, justice, knowledge etc.

Of course man's attributes are limited unlike God's unlimited ones.

As man has been created with freedom,

he is free either to accept God and His commandments

or to reject Him.

God will reward him with eternal bliss if he accepts and obeys Him.

Disobedience will earn loss of God eternally."

"I would have been happy if God had not given us freedom.

It is freedom that makes us choose evil. "

"But,  my dear man, without freedom we would just be puppets, programmed robots!

God wants us to earn our reward.

God values our free will,

and the quality of the choices that flow from it,

and thus tolerates the bad choices,

sin and the suffering that can also result from it.

He  tolerates evil for the sake of allowing good to be freely chosen."

"Is there no way to escape from it?"

"Escape from what? "

"Evil. Sin."

"Why not?

Love.

Love is behind everything good.

Love is behind God's creating us.

Love is behind God's  toleration.

Love is behind His incarnation.

Love is behind His thirty three years of life earth.

Love is behind His teaching us.

Love is behind His healing the sick.

Love is behind His institution of seven sacraments.

Love is behind His forgiving our sins.

Love is behind His suffering and death on the cross.

Love is behind His still remaining with us in the sacrament of Eucharist.

Love is behind His feeding us with His own body and blood.

Love is behind  His giving us what we ask for.

Love is behind even  His not giving us what we ask for.

Love is behind our suffering.

Love is behind even our death.

So,  love.

Love Him who loves us.

Love even those who don't love us.

Love created us.

Love will save us.

Simply love and escape sin.
