"I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have  nothing to eat." Jesus

"I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days, and have  nothing to eat."  Jesus
*******************************

Compassion is a child of love.

God is love by nature.

So,  by nature He is compassionate, merciful and kind.

When the first man broke His commandment,  He did not get angry,  but was compassionate and and decided to send him  a Saviour.

He cannot be angry with sinners as He is merciful by nature.

He became man in order to amend for the sins committed by us against Him.

Wherever He went to preach His Gospel multitudes of people came to Him to listen to His words and to get cured of their illness.

Here we must remember one thing.

Jesus came into the world to amend for our sins by sacrificing Himself on the Cross,  not to go about healing people of their physical illness.

He came here for spiritual healing,  not for physical healing.

But whenever He saw people  suffering from some  illness He took pity on them, being compassionate by nature.

He cured them miraculously.

The words with which we have captioned this article were said by Jesus just before He miraculously fed more than four thousand people.

They had been with Him for three days listening to His words and getting the sick cured without caring even  for their food.

Their faith in Him and in His words had kept them with Him for three days together, without leaving Him even for getting their food.

Jesus took pity on the people who were physically hungry,  without caring for which they were taking their spiritual food, His words.

The miracle of feeding four thousand people with just a few small fishes and seven  loaves teaches us a spiritual lesson.

1. God is loving and compassionate by nature.

2. Spiritual food is more important than physical food.

3. When we sacrifice our material welfare for the sake of Jesus, He takes care of it Himself.

"Make it your first care to find the kingdom of God, and his approval, and all these things shall be yours without the asking."  (Matthew. 6:33)

4. What we dedicate to the Lord may be very little,  just like a few small fishes and seven  loaves, but it will be multiplied in His hands to be shared with us.

What we give our neighbours we give Jesus.

What we give Jesus,  we give our neighbours.

We must be generous in our offerings to our Church.

5. What Jesus did was a miracle, done without being asked by anybody.

When we dedicate ourselves for our spiritual welfare,  Jesus will do miracles in our lives without our asking for them, even without our knowledge.
